STORY
GETS TOLD HERE
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you could get your story in front of thousands of people? If the advocacy work you're doing had the ability to inspire others and have a far-reaching impact?
In the early 2000s I discovered how powerful storytelling is when I began working as a journalist. I LOVE telling people's stories and of the stories of every day heroes working to make our communities better. Whether it's the local police officer that is terrified of heights but walked onto a cliffside to save a women's life. Or the mom who didn't want children to go hungry during the holidays so she filled empty shoe boxes with groceries. Or the law school student who tackled the beauty industry and challenged the definition of "healthy" when she competed at Miss America.
As a former TV news anchor and congressional staffer who has taught even members of Congress how to get on the news (and what to say and not to say), I can help you get your voice out there. I'll write your press release, pitch it to the media and teach you how to do a media interview. All you have to do is be ready to go out of your comfort zone and commit to being the best version of yourself (and listen when I say, "Don't say that to the press!").
PRESS RELEASE
and media pitching
I will write your press release and send to local media on your behalf, as well as pitch your availability to be interviewed about your cause, event or pageant title. The press release writing service requires a session to discuss so I can better understand your story before writing.
1:1 COACHING
for media interviews
Handling a media interview takes various techniques and can change based on who your interviewer is, what outlet they work for, whether it's print, radio or TV, and, of course, whether it's local, regional or national news. I'll prepare you for each situation based on your story and goals, and help you develop the key talking points needed to not get tripped up whether your interview is live or pre-recorded.
