In 1992, I was told I was doomed to a life of failure, that I would never make anything of myself or accomplish my dreams. I was only 12-years-old. More than 30 years later, I've led a successful career as a journalist, military public affairs officer, congressional staffer and federal employee. I've written two books, won several pageant titles and volunteer 20 hours every week with a national non-profit and Air Force Auxiliary where I've earned the title of Lieutenant Colonel. I learned how to use my past to fuel my future. How to tell my story to heal and show others how to use their voice. And I'm hear to show you how do it, too.

As a multi-passionate individual, I've worn many hats throughout my career. From a seasoned journalist to a mom, a self-empowerment podcaster to a published author and motivational speaker, I've been at the forefront of multiple connected industries. I love helping others tell their story and find their voice.
With extensive experience as a journalist, news anchor, and federal public affairs officers, I have a keen eye for telling other people's stories. My passion is helping others turn adversity into victory and finding purpose over perfection, and getting that story out to the media so it can help others heal, succeed, and thrive.
Outside of my professional career, I love being a mom of two boys and four rescue pups. My experience as a parent has inspired me to become an advocate and volunteer for important social causes, non-profit organizations like Civil Air Patrol and Darkness to Light, and became the catalyst for creating Sgt. BARK.

I make the perfect Norwegian fattigmanns thanks to my grandmother who taught us when I was a child.

I've lived in 11 different states so far and traveled more than 90,000 miles in the course of two years, but I have so much more to see!

I've published two books, but I've started a dozen more. They range from memoirs to young adult fiction to romance.

I had 3 childhood dream jobs and am happy to have completed two of them. I never could get over my singing stage fright though!
